RIA Chief Medical Officer participates in the 2019 Radiology Improvement Summit at Stanford University

The Radiology Improvement Summit (RIS) at Stanford University focuses on the principles that successful improvement programs will transform radiology departments and practices, and that those organizations that develop successful programs will transform the field of radiology.

This years’ RIS focused on ways that radiology departments can learn from internal and external organizational innovations.

Radiology Imaging Associates’ Chief Medical Officer, David Dungan, MD, embodies the philosophy of RIS. Dr. Dungan has served as a Program Committee Member of RIS for the past 2 years, helping to shape the curriculum for the meeting. “[RIA’s] participation in this, and similar conferences, demonstrates the leadership role that RIA plays in providing quality radiology care. We are recognized for our excellence, and our group and hospital partners benefit from the exchange of best practices at these meetings,” says Dr. Dungan.

At Radiology Imaging Associates, we strive to be an organization that learns. We believe that being an expert means not just lifelong learning, but sharing and implementing procedures based on that knowledge. As Dr. Dungan puts it, “RIA is dedicated to continuously improving our group and the care that we provide. The goal is always improved outcomes for patients.”
