Meet Heather Luckenbaugh, Nurse Practitioner
How, when and why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?
When my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and I saw the amazing care she was provided by the nurses, I knew a career as a healthcare provider was in my future. After 10 years as an RN, I wanted to be able to provide more for my patients as a provider which prompted me to return to school for my NP.
What do you like most about your job?
I love being able to help people when they are at their worst, and I am fascinated by our team’s ability to perform such minimally invasive procedures with such great results.
What is your favorite way to spend free time (away from work)?
I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors when I am not at work.
What do you like most about working at RIA?
I love working with some of the most talented people I have ever encountered and the small family feel of the practice.
